It's so wonderful how these people take such good care of the animals. I mean the rhinos would've destroyed their own population were it not for them. It's just so refreshing to see people who really care and want to see good things happen to wild life, rather than just let them die out. And it's very hard to do. It takes real dedication, and I'm quite envious of their nobility.

I felt terrible for giggling at his hair whilst he's got a great big cold (bless) and no touchy monkeys. But lolled at his caption, drawing more attention to it. xD (I think I may of actually caught his cold, well I like to think I've caught it from him rather than the normal way, but I do feel his annoyances there.)

'Orphanded chaimpazees' I think I may I have to weep at reading that, poor likl things. And I really awwed at the chimps sticking thier arms out for fruit. How clever are chimps, using a stick to retrieve a carrot, quite clever. Further on in the video you feel more and more terrible for Stephen, he really wanted to be involved and he's sort of left watching from a far. How cute was Mac with Mark. ^____^ And Stephen feeling like a left out child 'That should of been me.. You should of been holding me up in the air.' Rofl.

Btw, I think he knows the exact words we want to hear.. Stephen, shower, now !

Stephen,

Congratulations on the splendid new site. It is excellent. Yes, it is truly good.

And you will be pleased to know that the use of a forum with a blog is frowned on by the geeks. But I and no doubt you, do not care a toss , forums are better than Twitter. Or Pownce. Or Jaiku. Or Facebook or even MySpace.

Anyway here is the confession: This is the first I have seen or heard of your expedition to Africa! Wow! I never thought you'd venture down south and I apologise for not knowing about Afrycam. I've been living in darkest Berkshire for too long painfully unaware about the great work you were witnessing and recording.

And now I have watched some of your video diaries, I am homesick for iAfrica. More to the point - I miss Namibia.

Thanks for the vidiaries. Whilst watching herds of wildebeest, warthog, zebra et al, your videos let so many, many people see the dangerous but necessary work the rangers have to perform.

Thank you so much

Be well

Not to be too grossly anatomical, but I also hope the water is coming out, too. A big uh-oh if it isn't. But I hope it's just the heat and whatnot.

How endearing does Stephen sound behind the camera ? And talking to the animals !?
I love the begining, the very silent atmosphere followed by a sudden 'Oo,' I have to say amused me quite a bit. And I loved him saying 'baboons' and 'gazelle' and 'ostrich.' (it sounds like he doing that thing were you put enphesis on the end of a sentence to make it sound like a question.) Just me ? Okay.

Such a lovely video, my favourite video by a clear mile, put a fixed smile on my face.
I feel exactly the same, I'm going to miss this, I'm enjoying it while it lasts. *watches again*

It was such a lovely video. I love how he kept saying "I like warthogs". ^_^ The bits with the weeing rhino and the drinking giraffe were the best. <img src="http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_biggrin.gif" title=":-D" class="bb_smilies" />

'The weeing rhino' that almost makes it sound endearing. : ]
One step at a time. We have got a load of ideas for raising money, and more will come, I am sure.

I personally want to try and come up with ideas which will mean ongoing funds as well as something with a lump sum. But we wanted tofind out what everyone wants to support first of all, because tha way we know we are all on the same wavelength.

Also, if people have a name of an organisation to put this too, it helps and encourages people to keep it going. Does that mae sense?

I hear what you are saying.

To clarify my perspective, there are very few visible organisations in this part of the world and many are fly by night, so for me to put faith or focus in any one particular organisation is not something that would work for me personally, but I understand if it is easier for others to have this to focus on.

I would just like to know that any monies collected are utilised properly and whichever organisation / individual / game farm does this is inconsequential to me as long as it is done.

WWF is obviously a good all rounder and a well known one.

I don't want to sway any decision, but WWF is a charity I trust, because all the money raised go to the cause.
