Basically, one person makes a wish, and the following poster grants it but grants in such a way that the intent of the wisher is effectively counteracted. For example: Post: I wish I had a pony! Reply: Granted! A beautiful pony shows up in your back yard. It has equine AIDS, and when you approach it to ride it, you make it terribly ill. Two weeks later, two of its legs have fallen off, and it drags itself around your yard, neighing pathetically. It's a way of writing long and weird poems, often bouncing of in unexpected directions and ending in weird ways, rather like the three word game. It starts with one person writing three lines, two that rhymes and one for the next person to find something to rhyme with, like: I once found a man under my shoe properly fastened with tape and with glue I wondered briefly who left him there... And then the next person writes the two next lines in much the same manner... ...before I ripped him of by the strands of his hair and lifted him up to stare in my face... And such it goes on and on. If anybody want's to play, they can continue the poem above, or the one below, which might be more fitting for this forum, I don't know. Just pick the one that seems most fun to continue and works best. I know it would be the most glorious day But If I ever met Stephen I wouldn't know what to say My knees would shiver and my stomach flutter... I'll tell you about a conversation I was having with my dear, close freind who came into town to stay with me. And we sat up talking into the night and I just said,"Well, there are two kinds of rock n roll depressives in the world, and only two: nick drake or black sabbath and everyone under the age of 19 or older MUST choose, if for no other reason than to know which group of peers you can belong to and conform with... so i said this to my best friend and he goes,"that's not true" and i said,"yes it is." and he said,"no, it's not, because you're forgetting about a lot of other bands in rock, past AND present, that are dark or dark and evil and depressing or you know, shit like that...and besides, Nick Drake was a folk singer, not a rocker" and i said,"that's absurd because Nick played Blues too and blues is the foundation of most really great rock...so that leaves just the two." and my lifelong buddy goes,"well, i think you should take him off anyway..." so i reminded my dear friend that it is I, and not he, who has an online Masters in Music History and I, and not he, who has more cd's than he does....and he said cd's and degrees had nothing to do with taste or knowledge.... so i stabbed him.
