			<title>Shimobe on "Crush My Wish"</title>
			<link>http://www.stephenfry.com/forum/topic/crush-my-wish#post-236415</link>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;I saw this game on another forum, and it was pretty long-lived. Basically, one person makes a wish, and the following poster grants it but grants in such a way that the intent of the wisher is effectively counteracted. For example:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Post: I wish I had a pony!&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Reply: Granted! A beautiful pony shows up in your back yard. It has equine AIDS, and when you approach it to ride it, you make it terribly ill. Two weeks later, two of its legs have fallen off, and it drags itself around your yard, neighing pathetically.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Being really mean is part of the point.  &#38;lt;img src=&#38;quot;http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_twisted.gif&#38;quot; title=&#38;quot;:twisted:&#38;quot; class=&#38;quot;bb_smilies&#38;quot; /&#38;gt;  Then the wish-crusher makes a wish of his/her own for the next person in line to crush, and so on and so forth. Thus, to begin:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I wish I gained a thousand dollars every day in my checking account.

			<title>Mister on "Rhyming game"</title>

			<description>I honour of me getting the Ode Less Traveled I thought we could try this rhyming exercise/game a mate and me used to play in most German and math classes way back in the days. It's a way of writing long and weird poems, often bouncing of in unexpected directions and ending in weird ways, rather like the three word game. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
It starts with one person writing three lines, two that rhymes and one for the next person to find something to rhyme with, like:&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;em&#62;I once found a man under my shoe&#60;br /&#62;
properly fastened with tape and with glue&#60;br /&#62;
I wondered briefly who left him there...&#60;/em&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
And then the next person writes the two next lines in much the same manner...&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;em&#62;...before I ripped him of by the strands of his hair&#60;br /&#62;
and lifted him up to stare in my face...&#60;/em&#62;&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
And such it goes on and on.  &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
If anybody want's to play, they can continue the poem above, or the one below, which might be more fitting for this forum, I don't know. Just pick the one that seems most fun to continue and works best.      &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;em&#62;I know it would be the most glorious day&#60;br /&#62;
But If I ever met Stephen I wouldn't know what to say&#60;br /&#62;
My knees would shiver and my stomach flutter... &#60;/em&#62;</description>

			<description>&#60;p&#62;I know this may sound like a silly question but who on here has had a letter from Stephen Fry?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I have, it was a complete inspiration to me as he gave me advice in coping with my depression by comparing it to the weather, a very cleaver comparison indeed.  &#38;lt;img src=&#38;quot;http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif&#38;quot; title=&#38;quot;:)&#38;quot; class=&#38;quot;bb_smilies&#38;quot; /&#38;gt;  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I mentioned I am Autistic as well and he understood how difficult things can be for me where confidence is concerned.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I am very thankful to him for replying.  &#38;lt;img src=&#38;quot;http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif&#38;quot; title=&#38;quot;:)&#38;quot; class=&#38;quot;bb_smilies&#38;quot; /&#38;gt;

			<description>&#60;p&#62;You have to answer a question before you can ask another. It&#38;#39;s that simple and there are no rules to answers or questions except any limitations imposed via Forum rules/laws/punishments.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;This is a chicken-egg thing for me, but the only way I know to start this is to ask a question and answer it myself, then ask the next. Sorry, I&#38;#39;m a bit of a simpleton.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Q: What is the length of a circle that goes round a square?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;A: The length of a circle that goes round a square is of no interest to anyone but yourself.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;OK, next question ( first come, first serve ):&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Q: If you were an elephant considering a possible position that replaced that of an aging carrier-pigeon, what would your salary requirements be? Remember that you will be traveling internationally at times.

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to our first installment of a new series here called &#38;quot;Rock Talk&#38;quot;. We&#38;#39;re pleased you could join us.&#60;br /&#62;
We have a special guest on tonite who will be taking the position of resident rock n roll historian and her name is Gash Gutterall.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Now, before I, Quint the Mighty Host begin asking you intrusive questions, why don&#38;#39;t you share a little story about your love for musical history...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Gash:OK, sure. That&#38;#39;d be great. I&#38;#39;ll tell you about a conversation I was having with my dear, close freind who came into town to stay with me.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;And we sat up talking into the night and I just said,&#38;quot;Well, there are two kinds of rock n roll depressives in the world, and only two:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;nick drake&#60;br /&#62;
or&#60;br /&#62;
black sabbath&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;and everyone under the age of 19 or older  MUST choose, if for no other reason than to know  which group of peers you can belong to and conform with...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;so i said this to my best friend and he goes,&#38;quot;that&#38;#39;s not true&#38;quot;&#60;br /&#62;
and i said,&#38;quot;yes it is.&#38;quot;&#60;br /&#62;
and he said,&#38;quot;no, it&#38;#39;s not, because you&#38;#39;re forgetting about a lot of other bands in rock, past AND present, that are dark  or dark and  evil and depressing or you know, shit like that...and besides, Nick Drake was a folk singer, not a rocker&#38;quot;&#60;br /&#62;
and i said,&#38;quot;that&#38;#39;s absurd because Nick played Blues too and blues is the foundation of most really great rock...so that leaves just the two.&#38;quot;&#60;br /&#62;
and my lifelong buddy goes,&#38;quot;well, i think you should take him off anyway...&#38;quot;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;so i reminded my dear friend that it is I, and not he, who has an online Masters in Music History and I, and not he, who has more cd&#38;#39;s than he does....and he said cd&#38;#39;s and degrees had nothing to do with taste or knowledge....&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;so i stabbed him.
