Last film I saw was The Descendants. It was okay, but I don't get why the critics were raving about it so much.

Glad to hear that people enjoyed Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. I just read the book and am hoping to see the movie sometime soon.

The Muppets were brilliant and I know I have seen things since then but I forget what. Oh while I was in TX my friend Sonny and i saw the original batman film at the theaters. The 1989 one...and that was a ton of fun.

Just finished Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Dense but interesting. I'm also now reading Julian by Gore Vidal, which is quite good.

That was great Marz, thanks for putting that up I rmember my older kin nearly falling down dead in a lather every time that song came on. It couldn't ever be played enough. As a kid you feel sometimes obligated to hate anything older people hate and I tried to, but could never quite hate it with 100% confidence right around the moments in the song the melody starts to SOAR with the lead guitar lick that helped make it famous. And it was just a melancholy enough story to be forgiven for being so popular lol

Sparks
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcmeJSYVb2Q&feature=related

Reverse, forward, forward, reverse...

Here they are in 1974
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iJBiCXpruk

My son will be 14 in March. He loves both Iron Man movies but was absolutly horrified that I knew the words to every song on the soundtrack. Until then he thought it kicked ass!! When he found out mom also thought it kicked ass......not so much.
I told him "Dude, I had to hide my AC/DC cassette from my mom between my waterbed mattress and frame when I was 13." He said "What is a cassette?" I should have boxed his ears!!!!

This seemed a fitting new year song. I love her voice. I hear an Annie Lennox/Sinead hybrid I think.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close- Jonathan Safran Foer

Meh book, and you see right away how someone would want to turn it into a film.

I've found a BBC web site which has a post from a viewer which mentions an appearance back in 1991. I hope that helps.
