Yes, that's right, I'm talking to you MR.Steven Fry & any fellow lovers of Kingdom,

To some, Kingdom was a form of escapism, for others it was a mere refreshment but personally, it was my idealism. When you look around at the world do you boast it's splendors or perceive the gulf between the classes, does one look upon the wrong side of the storm? Kingdom was not a reflection of Norfolk life but a veil, underneath was a pining for human decency, blatantly, acceptance. It expelled the crudeness of modern television from it's screen's and cultivated this sense of placid acceptance before succumbing to ITV's slaughter. Well I say that's not good enough. Everyone was wrapped up in a jovial town where everyone knew everything about everybody, yet it revolved around this Mr. Peter Kingdom, before realism executed it's existence and we faced up to the real definition of this world. Well I say, that if Kingdom with all it's priceless values can't survive, what hope do we have of achieving acceptance and equity in this world? Don't ruin our hopes Mr. Steven Fry, please, let Kingdom breathe again, because we're not the only ones who strain to see a blossoming flame of reality in Kingdom, it may be without your admittance but I prevail to presume that you wished and always will for a world like Kingdom too.

Yours humbly,
Annabella

How wonderful that the ABC (Australia) are broadcasting this wonderful 'new' show called Kingdom.
It is a fantastic show and enjoyed by thousands of fans Down Under.

How sad to find that it was finished before we even got to see it.
At least we can rely on our ABC to repeat and repeat and repeat.
So all episodes will be seen at some stage.

Many thanks Stephen Fry for another of your entertainments. <img src="http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_lol.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" />

Now whilst I understand that Kingdom is gone and I am very sad - I am glad it is finally being shown on TV here - and not tucked away and thrown at people randomly like QI is atm (its timeslot changes depending on the show before it)

Kingdom is being shown on Saturdays at 7:30pm on Prime - one of the three major commercial networks. Yes - this is the off season - Christmassy crap left right and centre but at least Kingdom is being given a real go

I might add, I didn't know and thus missed it in favour of watching Adam and Jamie play with duck tape for an hour - yes duck - not duct!

As there will be no more episodes of Stephen's Kingdom, perhaps I can suggest the well-intended adventures of bloke-next-door Johnny Kingdom as a weaning-off process for those desperately addicted to the surname. He can be found somewhere on Exmoor where he has, in recent years, purchased some land, which he calls 'the land', on which he has set up a variety of remote cameras to observe wildlife and create documentaries. Sadly, few of these cameras appear to work, so Auntie send a real camera(man) to accompany our intrepid, retired grave-digger, Johhny towards his goal. Whatever that is. You will find Johnny Kingdom's recent three-part thinggy on Auntie's iPlayer. I declare no interest other than my undying admiration for the heroic, bumbling amateur who, presumably, can never take a hint. BBC4 didn't even show the third episode around Christmas time, although they've recently repeated the trilogy. As they do all else! Enjoy. Rejoice.

I have a feeling it will be commissioned, but indeed as Stephen said, in 2010 at the earliest. Kingdom did well so far for ITV and for the local tourism in Swaffham, I'm sure they'll bring it back next year. Watch this space.

Ok. In at least the first couple of episodes of Kingdom, there's a painting/poster that's seen first upstairs I think in his train set room/spare room once his sister moves in there, and then in the 2nd episode it appears again on the wall above the reception desk. The painting is primarily of blue sky and clouds, and it looks like there's an open field in the foreground, possibly with a silhouette of a child as well. The painting looks to be roughly 3 or 4' wide and maybe 1 to 1.5' tall. Anyone know the name of the painting and/or artist? I'd love to get a poster or reproduction of it.

Stephen ! Will there be more episodes of Kingdom ? It was very popular in Sweden. Ms Norris and Ms Imrie are great actors too ! Love them both. I also loved "a bit of Fry & Laurie" <img src="http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_lol.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" />

I only discovered this show a few weeks back and I've been watching them every day I just love shows like Kingdom and Doc Martin.

The end of series 3 was a cliff hanger, ITV are mad to not commission a fourth series.

Anyway I hope they bring it back.

I too stumbled across the series and was captivated. Fine writing, fine directing, brilliant acting, some of the best television in ages. Believing that the power of the people is not yet moribund (i too am a film maker and while wildlife is my specialty i recently finished a documentary on courageous dissent) even in the face of broadcasters whose bottom line isn't quality. There are so many people who know that 'Kingdom' is television of rare quality.... how do we fight to get it back?
