After that, we post ALL OF IT, FOREVER on the site and you CANNOT GO BACK and sanitize it later. Well, for people who started using social networking back in the early 2000's, especially those under 40, they've got a lot of work ahead of them and their 'friends'. The fact that the goverments want control of the internet and want to lock it down and legally follow without warrants etc etc does not surprise me. Every government has a facist, power hungry freak hiding it somewhere with dreams of punishments exacted for 'out of norm' behavior. What pisses me off is that so many people have ignored repeatedly sites like the old Facebook Seppeku. Facebook sued the Seppeku people into silence ( shut up or else! ) and the power that seppeku gave to facebook users to totally delete ( REALLY delete ) their accounts went bye bye. (btw, i once posted how you can do that without seppeku's help but am not going to do that again as i'm sure it will be as ignored as this post will be ). When you play the sheep, ba-ba-ing along, and then find you can clearly see the butchers hands and whoops, it's too late for you..you dont' really have a right to bleet about how unfair things are because you went along with the herd. Evil rises because good people stay silent. Well, it's one of the reasons lol If you haven't figured it out yet Facebook users, that Timeline feature is their ultimate catch all. They legally own all your content anyway. The details of your life, the photos, the links, your friends and families photos etc etc. Twitter users, there's a reason that other tweeters are in uproar right now. Ignore these facts as you like and oh, btw, be very, very careful about those who do the old 'oh poo-poo, pfft...it's not all THAT bad' wether they be talking heads or writers. Ask them to answer one question: How much stock do you own in either of these companies? 'nough said. I've already had, and I just woke up, FIFTEEN emails of freinds and/or family squawking at me about how upset they are by all these new censorship or ownership policies by google, and facebook and twitter and the SOPA stuff...man, you know, me and a helluva lot of other people have been warning you about this and tried to help you adopt some better tech behavior. But there you went bleeting on to the butcher anyway...yeesh!! What did you EXPECT?!! Concern for YOUR feelings about censorship? ROFLMAO...right. You did. And that's your problem. Islamic legal tradition holds that dogs are “unclean” animals, and some say the call to ban them in Holland and elsewhere represents an attempted encroachment of Islamic Sharia law in Europe. This latest canine controversy — which the Dutch public has greeted with a mix of amusement and outrage — follows dozens of other Muslim-vs-dog-related incidents in Europe. Well, they're trying to push Shari'a law in Spain too and yes, it is about peoples dogs. Demands to prevent public display of dogs was rejected outright and so the next thing you know, 30 dogs were found poisoned to death the day after the decision to allow people to still walk thier dogs around and to parks. Poisoning is a particularly painful and therefore, extremely inhumane way to kill an innocent animal, many of who are members of peoples families, companions to the elderly and disabled, and used in search and rescue and bomb sniffing exercises. The domestic dog is still our friend and gives a lot to us so we have tried to integrate them in many ways into our society with us. If i don't like my neighbors cat, I don't go kill it. I just don't hang out with it. And if she wanted to drag it off to a public park or beach, that's her business. My lack of words... In this case, however, it is not about the lack in the meaning of words, as the lack of any words that could describe my feelings about Sir Stephen Fry's comment about The Third Reich's largest concentration camp in Poland, Auschwitz, where he said " There has been a history, let's face it, in Poland of a right-wing Catholicism which has been deeply disturbing for those of us who know a little history, and remember which side of the border Auschwitz was on and know the stories, and know much of the anti-semitic, and homophobic and nationalistic elements in countries like Poland ". I know it has been quite some time from that particular event, but I still do not understand his behaviour. That quoted sentence has no sense what so ever, particularly the words: "those of us who know a little history, and remember which side of the border Auschwitz was on and know the stories"...what did he mean by that? Poland was entirely invaded by Germany and it has nothing to do where the concentration camps were, as mainly it was all under German and Soviet control, there was no Poland, therefore was no Polish borders...I even refuse to comment on the "know the stories" bit, which is completely and utterly ridiculous, as Sir Fry himself ridiculed people who even started a sentence with words like "apparently" that was an effect of stupid and unthoughtful speculations or gossip, and from my point of view the word "stories" is even worse but falls under the same category. Now, about the infamous Catholicism, I do not believe in any godly entities overseeing us myself as I grew a brain, even though I have been brought up in a strictly Catholic family, and I am not proud of what happened to that country because of it, but I believe that without it we would be doomed as well but from a different angle. The reason is quite simple, as during the First and the Second World War priests helped a lot of people by giving out food rations, hiding people in the churches providing shelter, giving hope to the society risking their own lives, but it was in the past, and from loving and caring people priests evolved into child abusing, greedy politicians. "Thank God" that the religion itself is dying very slowly, but consequently, at least in Poland. Nowadays people are starting to think instead of cultivating the ways of their parents or ancestors as they often refer to. During the occupation it was easier to believe in something, in this case God, that would give just a bit of hope needed to survive, where as believing in science in those days would be useless at any given point. Nationalism is fundamental in my country (bearing in mind that it comes in many different strands)...you do not have to be smart to figure that out, all in all we have been invaded too many times, not even mentioning the three partitions of Poland. It really should not be a surprise to people that we have to keep out nationalism not to get "ripped apart" again...in my perspective it is just common sense. The last thing but not the least, I am fully aware of the vast numbers of homophobes (although I have many gay friends and I am very respectful towards others no matter how different from me, I will never, and I say that again, NEVER approve of homosexual couples raising children...that is just sick and wrong in my opinion and I always say it openly as my point of view), alcoholics, thieves or the worst of them all: neo-nazis in very scarce numbers, but still, NEO-NAZIS in country like Poland!? which for me is completely unbelievable and leaves me breathless, BUT...but please, please please! I did well today. Got up at 8.30am a gloriously sunny day today. Had lots to do. Started cooking a chicken around 11 and preparing the vegetables. Decided to prepare things early even though evening meal wasn't til later. Then I got a phonecall to say my son and his girlfriend had found a wandering rabbit and could they bring it round? They were already later than they said and that was why so I had to balance all the different pots and pans and sort everything out so the meal would be warm but not burnt. Then I noticed the oven light didn't seem to be working. Anyway to cut a long story short the oven seems to have stopped working and one of the things on the top I forget what they are called oh maybe its a ring. So I heated up the roast potatoes under the grill and burnt a few but the chicken was already cooked. The rabbit sat in a box for nearly an hour and we ate the dinner it tasted ok and a phonecall came to say the owner of the rabbit had been found so that was all sorted. But at some point my head went a bit "chocka" as I call it. my son and his girlfriend then had to rush out to a party so here I am. But it nearly half twelve so I suppose I will just be better to take my tablets and go to bed. Here's what i learned in my visit to my grandparents house: 1. only one room is livable 2. one toilet half-works 3. grandfather eats off dirty dishes, including knives covered in week old mayo 3 and 1/2. and ends up in hospital with intestinal infections 4. grandmother pees in jars when she can't make it to the bathroom and leaves pee collections everywhere. 5. there are at least three loaded guns in the living room, all within plain sight, but we don't know when the last time was any of them were CLEANED or MAINTAINED 6. grandmother MAY have taken out all her savings and hidden it somewhere in the house. 7. Right now, they both can't get around well and shouldn't drive, and yet they do. Because they live in a rural area, and they are so ridiculously stubborn they won't wait JUST 24 FRICKING HOURS FOR ONE OF THE YOUNGER FOLKS TO GO OUT AND GET A NEW TRACTOR IGNITION FOR A 1948 FORD TRACTOR!! NO! THEY HAVE TO HAVE IT RIGHT NOW!
