I have seen Monsieur Hulot, he`s very funny! I only discovered him recently because he was compared with the "Mr. Bean on holiday" film, which I like.

Other films I like at the moment:

"The seawolf" series with Raimund Harmstorff
"My fair lady"
"Bram Stoker`s Dracula"
"From Hell"
"The Game"
The Haunting (1963 version)

Agreed !

Genuinely the creepiest and best filmed ghost story I have enjoyed.

The nearest thing to it for me - ( although it perhaps does not count, as it was a book / stage play made into a film for the small screen ) being :

"The Woman In Black" ...
I shall try not to get pettish as I posted the subject film clearly. But the subject is not clearly presented in e-mails, alack and a lack.

V for vendetta. .

I never read individual post subject titles. Only thread titles. I didn't even know anyone on here bothered writing individual ones. Never seen the point when it's a nested board.

I'd like to see this film Stephen Fry mentions in 'Moab Is My Washpot' (the first book I've read of his.) Sidney Lumet. 1983.

Can anyone tell me from where I can download it? I'm working abroad in the stix and only have a PC to play with.

Managed to download Wilde, thankfully. I've never seen a film which shows homosexuality to the incogniscenti so well and the poetry was read so beautifully it made me want to hear more.

I expect we'd all like to know what Mr Fry's favourite films are.
