I can certainly see this would be a sensitive subject for you. But I am not entirely sure that I agree Stephen was making light of a terribly sad statistic. I got the sense it was a rueful commentary, from someone who knows personal demons all too well. I think any kind of chuckle or laugh you perceived was a sort of nervous reaction, not an attempt at actual humor. You may be able to find some extracted scenes of it on youtube.</p> <p>Many people, with or without suffering BPD, experience suicidal ideation and, sadly, succumb to it. I think Mr.Fry has been pretty open about experiencing such thoughts himself, so I doubt very, very much he had ill intentions of any kind. His comments are insensitive . </p>
