This book is brilliant! I'm enjoying this more than I did The Book of General Ignorance (which is saying something as that's a good book). I'm driving my family round the bend re-telling interesting facts from the book about various species. It's really good as I've found answers to questions that I've been wondering about like how goats are able to climb so high up in the mountains when they've just got hooves. It's a very good book as it clears up misconceptions on various things like which animals a given species is related to, what family it's from. I also really like reading about the evolutionary side of things, genetics and about a given species prehistoric ancestors were like or relatively recently extinct relatives.
