Female guests:
French and Saunders (both very clever and funny, each with their own personality).
Tasmin Greig (would really suit the somewhat abstract style QI offers).
Victoria Wood (possibly the finest comedienne ever - why not?)
Lastly, quite a long shot: Emma Watson (being genuinely intelligent, would be interesting to see how she does)

Male guests:
Dylan Moran (QI does well with its grumpy comics - Moran could work just as well)
Richard Ayoade (Another great deadpan character)
Mark Watson (Adorable and very funny)
Ed Byrne (Am really surprised he hasn't already made an appearance)
Last, another long shot: Stewart Lee (don't think it would be his thing, but would love to see him on there)

I think it would be amazing to have on Richard Osman from Pointless to see if he is really that smart and funny or is it all on his laptop. Also it would partly replicate a recent dream I had with Richard and Stephen as a new double act! <img src="http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_eek.gif" title="8O" class="bb_smilies" /> Weird huh!?!

Dylan Moran, definitely...

A QI guest spot would render my crush on Josie Long complete and total...

But I wouldn't mind who was a future guest if you could promise me I never have to see Jeremy Clarkson's ugly mug ever again...

James May would be such a good guest on this show! He reminds me slightly on Stephen. He's witty, well-educated and quite interesting!

Hum.... i would say:

Kathy Burke
Dylan Moran
Tony Slattery (would be great if he did it)
James May
Jo Brand (again)

Comedians are never a bad thing <img src="http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":-)" class="bb_smilies" />

Wow, so many great ideas! I too, would love to see more ladies on the show.

I would go with Dame Edna Everidge and Lilly Savage for that added feminine touch

Wow, so many great ideas! I too, would love to see more ladies on the show.
A great guest I reckon would make a brilliant addition is Dr Karl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr_Karl_Kruszelnicki), but I fear he may be too obscure for the likes of British TV. He does feature prominently on Australian TV and could be great for a nerd-off between him and Stephen.

I'd rather like to see Dylan Moran on this here show... Has this been suggested before?
I'd hate to state the obvious but, James May?
<img src="http://www.stephenfry.com/bb-content/plugins//bb-smilies/default/icon_biggrin.gif" title=":-D" class="bb_smilies" />

I don't see why not. They've had Clarkson on, who - though I'm one of about nine or ten people who actually like the man, it seems - is an obnoxious thug, whereas Cap'n Slow is pretty charming and knowledgeable.

How about Tony Robinson and perhaps Phil from Time Team?

I would really like to see Cement Freud. Since the loss of John Mortimer, I've been feeling we should see more of our great senior raconteurs. Could you imagine Peter Ustinov on QI? X

I miss Bill Bailey, funniest guy on the show.

I think Bill Bailey has retired altogether from the world of panel shows, including QI, unfortunately. Buzzcocks seems to have done a fairly thorough job of putting him off.

As for who I'd like to see on the show, I think it would be nice to continue in the still relatively unexplored vein of inviting guests who aren't necessarily professional comedians,or related to that industry. Pam Ayres springs to mind as having been particularly wonderful, and she held her own against some more boisterous personalities quite impressively.

The name of the show is 'Quite Interesting', and it does seem as though genuine grey matter is overlooked on occasion (a recent example being Ben Miller's genuinely 'quite interesting' attempt to explain the Higgs' Boson). I'd rather be periodically amused and intrigued than spend an entire episode in stitches, which tends to happen anyway. Miriam Morgolyes, Michael Palin, Harry Hill (yes - Harry Hill), and Miranda Richardson would all make good panelists, in my humblest of onions.

I think my ideal panel would happen in series 'R' (for resurrection); Oscar Wilde, Frank Zappa and Noël Coward. Louis XIV can replace Alan for that show.

Male heavy, but oh the hilarity which would ensue in the crossfire.

Incidentally: ooh, first post and all that. Hello, everyone. My name is... Benjamin.

Took me half a pint of Murphy's to write all that.
