If I heard the discussion between Stephen Fry and Robbie Williams correctly, it began with Stephen Fry asking Robbie if he was BP - as he seemed manic on stage and certainly seemed to have a flip side that opposed that image.

Robbie then said (something like ) "No, I just put on the energy for the gig".

Robbie then went on to describe how it left him so emotionally drained that he then had to hide beneath his hotel duvet till it passed. This 'depression' was directly after each gig and was short lived.

I therefore understood that Stephen had used Robbie as a yet another good example of how MD is not always what it seems or appears.

Whilst none of the above is quoted word for word, it lead me to believe that Robbie was interviewed in the context of not being MD, but merely appearing so. The objective perhaps being to demonstrate that not all people drained by a demanding experience need hand themselves in to their G.P.

Regards to all,

Derek.
