I'm a bit nosy so I've come up with a list that I hope people will answer.

1. Favourite film of all time
2. Favourite film genre
3. Favourite actor
4. Favourite actress
5. Favourite male singer
6. Favourite female singer
7. Favourite band
8. Favourite song
9. Favourite type of music
10. Favourite book
11. Favourite colour
12. Favourite pastime
13. Favourite artist
14. Favourite animal (domestic or wild)

Feel free to answer some or all of the questions. You can answer them in the plural if you wish because I realise sometimes it's hard to choose only one of everything. Also any clips of films and music or links to photos would be great.

I can answer 2 of these absolutely. The rest would have so many possible answers it would turn into an essay.

So:

11. Blue

14. Dog

(Although I have never dyed my own dog blue)

I knew it would be dog! How could it be otherwise with cute Arthur as your gravator? It's OK for the other ones to be just a snapshot of how you feel today. For me, some would change on a daily/weekly/monthly/ yearly basis and others would stay the same.

The way my mind works they'd change dramatically day by day. But here is a painting, or a link anyway, to a painting by Jan Steen, painting in the 1600's. I was introduced to him by another member here, Henry, (who is a complete sweetheart but doesn't post enough), and I just love his work.

You may already know of Steen. You probably do. But I love how alive his paintings are. In a lot of them if you changed the clothes to modern garb, they could be people and situations from now. Prob not explaining myself well again.

I didn't know of Jan Steen. The painting looks a bit like a Vermeer. Is Steen also Dutch? The people have the same sort of clothes and the light is similar.

Funnily enough, my favourite colour is green, too. And, of course, my favourite animal is the cat. I'll answer a few of my own questions, though I can change my mind at any given moment.

1. Favourite film of all time - "In Bruges"
2. Favourite film genre - thriller
3. Favourite actor - Joaquin Phoenix
4. Favourite actress - Judi Dench
5. Favourite male singer(s) - Paolo Nutini, Elvis Costello
6. Favourite female singer - Amy Winehouse
7. Favourite band - Arctic Monkeys
8. Favourite song - "Pencil Full of Lead" (at the moment)

speckledband, Mary Poppins is an AWESOME movie! It was one of my favorites when I was a little kid, and I just watched it again recently, having not seen it for about 10 years. I'm all grown up now (well, sort of), and I enjoyed it now just as much as I did when I was 4 years old

I never ever get bored of Mary Poppins, it's practically perfect in everyway.
I was tempted to put Julie Andrews as my favourite actress, but I can't decide between her and Emily Deschanel.

Did you recognise the thread title? Not Mary Poppins, but Julie Andrews all the same...

Raindrops on roses
And whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles
And warm woollen mittens

Tito, have you visited Amsterdam? That's a really beautiful place. I love it.
