The weather has been erratic.
Not as much as in Melbourne.
There's an "old saying" that if you don't like the weather in Melbourne, wait ten minutes.
This doesn't apply as much to summer here, but still, if you can get a top of 18 one day, and then 37 the next, well, don't be surprised.
It's even worse when it's high-30s to 40s all the time. And raining.

i just spent a few days at home dragging tree pieces around to be burned because my family's trees all broke and fell over in an ice storm! my brother said on the local weather forecast they showed a picture someone sent in of a crow frozen to a tree... then the weatherman posted the highs and lows over this picture of a dead frozen crow and said "weeellll, looks like thangs will git a little warmer later in thu week..."
i feel sorry for the crow...
but, it was sure nice to be home!!
