Hello folks,

I'm heading to the U.S soon for business & am torn between purchasing a Blackberry or an iPhone. Which would you recommend & why? Any particular model for the Blackberry & what is the best Blackberry currently available?

If you go Blackberry, go Pearl. iPhone has generally high usage fees and will lock off various aspects (i.e. the mp3 player) if there is no service plan in use.

As a long time Apple person it pains me to say, blackberry or a treo. I had a treo for a few years until a quit the job from hell and gave it back. Most people I know use a blackberrys and have no problems. I know 3 people with iPhone, they just are as good for business and they still keep separate iPods for all of their music since the storage gets full fast.

Have fun on our shores - hopefully you will have some down time to enjoy the trip.

Blackberry every time. iPhone will be good when it's got HSDPA, GPS and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I've both the Blackberry Pearl and the iPhone, and I'd say go with the Blackberry. I yield the floor to C_R on this one.

Yup, i'd say Blackberry too. My sister's got an 8800, but if size is an issue, go for a Pearl.

No 3G, no HSDPA, no GPS, no expansion slot, costs £300 more than a top of the range phone, only supports Quicktime video, earphone jack supports Apples own brand earbuds only.

The iPhone is a piece of shit.
