I've taken Citalopram in the past but I struggled to concentrate. Not 100% sure it was the Citalopram though. It could have been Propranolol or the combination of both. |

Been down for a while, not a deep episode, but enough to make me focus on what I could manage at the time. I think Citalopram doesn't have the same capacity for a manic upswing as Prozac did for me, it's more of mood moderator than anything. But I'm back and taking a long run up at writing again. The only way is forward. Now where's the bar? |

Had an anaphylactic episode last week, not impressed at all. Steroids rapidly calmed the situation but made me feel ill in themselves. I'm returning to a creative and communicative state; I hadn't realised how much it was taking to carry on flag waving and encouraging others to hang on when they were down until I had to back out for a while. I can't be the only one that has done that. It's important to say to anyone, either members or lurkers peering in at this site, we all care, we know what the Black Dog feels like and that's why we make the effort to reach out, because you deserve understanding and a helping hand out of The Hole. Occasionally, we have to deal with our own darknesses, so if someone you've been seeing on the board takes a rest, don't be surprised. The only way is forward. Now where's the bar? |
