Here's a trick to cooking eggs sunny side up without the need to flip them (and possibly break the yolk):

1. When the eggs are nearly done cooking on one side, add a couple tablespoons of water into the frying pan. Immediately cover the pan with a lid.

2. Leave the lid over the pan until the eggs are cooked to your liking (I like to use glass lids for this purpose). If the water in the pan has evaporated and you still want to cook the eggs longer, add a bit more water.

3. When the eggs are done, simply slide them off the pan and onto a plate.

Adding a bit of water to the pan will not ruin the eggs. It allows you to steam-cook the eggs so the runny bits on top solidify without the need to flip them. The water also keeps the bottom of the eggs from burning.
