I have a shy friend. He cares not to shout about his works but I find them sometimes rather humorous. He wrote this short piece in oriental form.

earth.
organic matter
a natural medium
earth from a worm’s bum

by Gavin Lockey (2007)

It is a little coarse to my taste yet has a universally message conveyed more concisely than the likes of Shakespeare and Poe. Would anyone care to comment?

These curtains are heavy, I am stultified!
Release me with your light essence.
Carry me to my unburden, my Heathcliffe
And let the sands stop when at last embraced I.

It's a lovely little poem. It get in, says what it means, and vanishes with a smile.

Breaking contradictions in his mind was, to him, like walking through a winter forest snapping twigs underfoot.

Thank you to my correspondents, it is a pleasing short poem. I may post others shortly. I must go, Mr Gibney's arrival by cab is imminent.
