there are a lot of fluffettes going to the book-reading-signing in Oxford and we already said we should really meet up.
could be a good idea to start thinking about when (time) and where in Oxford we should meet. maybe someone with local knowledge can help pick a good place. I'm thinking some pub without loud music so we can talk to one other, near the theatre.the afternoon before the signing perhaps (don't know when everyone arrives).maybe we could get something to eat together ?( something simple like fish and chips).
always open for suggestions..

Yes - it is a good idea to start planning something now I think.
We've got just under three weeks - I think - to organise something but I'm one of those people who panics if I don't have everything organised well in advance, lol!

I have no local knowledge so am useless for organising, but it would be very nice to meet you all first.

I'm useless at organising. But I'm in. Whatever you want to do. Well, almost everything I guess...
Didn't we say that we wanted to go to a pub after the event? In some other thread?

I see, been really out of the loop, so out of it that I don't even know what the loop is any more
after seems good as well of course (think we can't make it too late tho, got to check when the hotel closes the doors and buses go back)

Actually I don't even know where our hotel is. Cos as soon as someone else takes over, my brain just turns off.
I didn't mean to say we can't meet before the event. I don't know if that's a real plan. Even if it is, those who feel like it might meet up for coffee or a bite to eat earlier. Or visit a museum.
I'll probably get there early, maybe have a look around on my own and meet you later - if someone's there. Not so sure about anything yet. Like I said, not a fan of organising (or just bad at it)

Sounds like a plan. I'll be there pretty early anyway. I just need some time to tidy up my appearance a bit and remove the stains of travel
Andrealein, I've checked on Google Street View and it looks like the Eurobar (48 George Street)is really very close to the theatre.
I'll PM you the booking/check in details

I haven't even booked my train ticket yet, so I don't actually know when I'll be in Oxford!

I'm booking my train ticket tomorow but it'll take me the whole day to get there, I think I'll be able to get there a little early though. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys almost as much as mr Fry himself

Have mine booked, takes me about 2 hours as long as I don't get lost during the change over, should be in Oxford by about 3ish that gives me a few hours in museums and wandering aimlessly I shall most probably be outside the theatre an hour or so before hand to sort out badges
