By the way, amyl_nitrate, you said you´d wish Stephen showed his legs off more... How would you suggest, he´d do that? Something similar to the scenes from the Blackadder millenium edition ??

Yeah! Or like in the beginning of Peter's Friends.

Oh why oh why oh why aren't the Hysteria shows available on DVD? If only for Stephen's lovely little speech on the subject of tolerance.

What are the Hysteria shows anyway?

In the late 80s and early 90s Stephen organised 3 big comedy/music shows for AIDS charities called Hysteria, Hysteria 2 and Hysteria 3. They came out on video shortly after but haven't appeared on DVD. Shame because they feature such delights as Stephen's tolerance and bad language monologues, the earliest appearance of Eddie Izzard, John Cleese interviewing Tina Turner, Rowan Atkinson interviewing Elton John about his odd name, the other bloke (not John Sessions) from Stella Street and a guy who strips naked and lights a roman candle up his bottom.

I think I've seen a sketch from Hysteria on youtube but it didn't really register. It'd be good if they released it. There's a lot of stuff that sadly doesn't get released while other stuff get's released in various editions and covers ad nauseum. *sigh* I mean we've only just got Monty Python's Flying Circus on dvd in the UK and there still isn't a region 2 release of Beyond The Fringe. :'(

SLOTMD shows the real Stephen. Extreme close-ups are good. I think I used one or two in my music video.
