And you say the UK is European. Sorry, Gerti, but We 'The great British public - the people rather than the land' won't be European until we ALL want to be. And that's a long way off for millions of us...but that's another thread entirely. Interesting that there's a bit of a stink going on right now about us not getting a referendum on matters pertaining to terms of membership of the European Union.

Oh jemmo, I hope my last statement did not offend you or any other UK citizen. I used European simply to refer to the geographic location, nothing to do with the EU. When it comes to EU-related issues, Austria seems to have either drawn even or even overtaken the UK in the list of Eurosceptics: In Austria, anti-EU sentiment is running at anywhere from 80 to 90 per cent. This may be due to the fact that Austrian politicians never hold referendums on matters pertaining to the EU, they just "go it alone" - patronising b******s end of MY rant (sorry, so off-topic)
