Abridged Textile Chemistry Tutorial
Textiles used for the manufacture of suits ought to meet a number of requirements: dimensional stability, resistance to cyanide, and soup repellency. These properties can be imparted to the substrate by coating it with various chemical compositions. One coating method typically used for this purpose is:

• kiss coating (lick roll)

PS I am glad there were no carpets involved, you´d be surprised how much fun textile chemists can have with carpets as far as terminology is concerned

Polisher wanted. Most have delicate, yet firm grip.


Useful hints for polishing Stainless Steel or Soft Materials:
v In a first step, polish in one direction, then for the next step rotate sample 90º and polish.
v Never use water with diamond suspensions. (diamonds are obviously not a polisher´s best friend... )
v A very small amount of diamond spray will work much better, spray cloth until barely moist. (or perhaps only in aerosol form... )
v If there is too much diamond suspension on the cloth, add a lubricant/extender to the cloth to cut the amount
v Clean up work area after you finish and put everything away.
