Nobody has said anything about the Pope and his latest words. I will. He is an ex Nazi. I don't think people stop being Nazis. They just dont own up to it now. Since I accepted myself I see things clearly. I am a man who likes men and that is just normal for me. I was made this way and am not going to be treated by Nazis as something wrong. The sooner his god takes him away the happier I will be.

The man Jesus said to love everyone. This pope doesnt. He should read his own book before he opens his Nazi mouth.

The pope's anti-gay message earlier this week was pretty shocking, and imo, deplorable. I wouldn't go so far as to say he is an ex-Nazi (because, really, I have no idea about the man's history/background/whatever), but his message was pretty short-sighted, to say the least.

He ran away from and spoke against the Nazi regime in his youth.

The anti-gay business is hardly anything new... it's just a group of people taking a book too literally. The Pope is just a puppet to a religion that has not kept up with modern times, certainly not in certain areas of modern life.

I think insulting an individual based on pure fiction and cirumstance is totally unneccisary though, no matter what he might have said the Nazi remarks are really out of line.

Reminds me of the Bishop of ... (can't remember off the top of my head) proclaiming that the floods we had in the UK a while back were gods punishment against gay people. As comedians said at the time; if that were true Brighton would be underwater!

I personally find the Catholic church's handling of predatory paedophiles in their own ranks far more concerning/deplorable than anything his Popeness has to say about gay people. Also their part in the spread of Aids, remember children if you use contraception your going straight to the fiery basement, the hostility towards female bishops and it seems any change whatsoever from the tried and tested love everyone…except you, you and especially you, way of thinking. Still America has a black president perhaps we'll have a gay, black Pope in the future.

Oh dear all this bile on Christmas Eve ruined my mood completely...bloody Christians ruining Christmas for the rest of us why can't they get their own bloody holiday...oh wait

Edit: Also he has evil beady eyes

I'm merely repeating WhyGenTom's words but:
a) yes, the Catholic Churche's (and I'd like to add: most Christian churches') position on homosexuality is outrageous and cannot be criticised sharply enough.
b) your Nazi comments are not only out of line, they are also the epitome of wrong. The Pope's family were openly opposing the Nazi regime, a fact that even the stupidest imbeciles from the Daily Mail and The Sun got right. So if you want to be heard and your criticism to be taken seriously, try to voice it in a more intelligent manner.

I'm not saying he was a Nazi but it's important to emphasise that even if he had been the fact alone would not make him a bad person. That would be like saying that all members of the Labour party are bad because of the Blair and Brown governments' actions in relation to Iraq.

Since I accepted myself I see things clearly. I am a man who likes men and that is just normal for me. I was made this way and am not going to be treated by Nazis as something wrong.
Yeah, I mean according to the BBC the Pope made clear his view that homosexuality was not in itself a sin so elsewhere there does appear to have been some misreporting of his message in that respect. I can see how he could claim gender theory to be a threat to humanity insofar that it blurs the distinction between male and female because it assumes a falsehood that men and women are in all respects the same which if persisted in could obviously lead to some pretty undesirable consequences.

Sorry - being a Nazi does make you a bad person. there's not one nice decent neo-nazi out there and there wasn't one back then either. Members of the german army were not necessarily Nazi's however.

As to this pope - he is creepy and looks like a paedophile...

He was enrolled as a member of the German Army in 1942(?) and ran away from the Nazi regime. Accusing him of being a nazi is just an unhealthy mix of ignorance and racism.

Oh! Sorry, I thought I was reciting accepted wisdom... no I meant that there are many Nazis who are recognised as heroes on account of their acts of kindness or other deeds towards the betterment of man. One could mention the rocket pioneer Wernher Von Braun for example who helped to lift the human race into space or Oskar Schindler who's credited with saving hundreds of lives during WWII by employing and protecting those who were most at risk.

I'm sorry, but I strongly disagree. Being a Nazi means to agree with and support the ideology of Nationalsocialism, which in my opinion makes a Nazi a bad person. But I think I know what you meant, that not everyone who was forced to join the Hitler Youth etc. was a Nazi. Agreed.

As to this pope - he is creepy and looks like a paedophile....

Very sophisticated. I thought we were past the time where people were judged by their looks. My parents' neighbour looks like someone who would store dismembered virgins in his cellar, let's all go and villainise him. Oh wait, he is one of the friendliest and gentlest guys I've ever met - seems I should take more care when judging people in the future.

Just as judging a person by their looks ( 'looks like a pedophile...' ) is a sentiment that is painfully, obviously illogical a position to take, so too I'd like to note that it should be blatantly obvious to anyone that women and men are not 'the same'.

What we do have a tendency to do, however, in terms of generalizations is make distinctions betweeen 'real men' and 'real women'. E.g "That John Wayne was a REAL man. They don't make men like him anymore." X-D That should be recognized as a fairly subjective definition.

Is the Pope a 'real man'? I mean, he does wear a dress X-D You can see that but I've never seen him wearing a schwastika......rimshot...

A 'real woman' is a female and a 'real man' is a male. A ton of evidence exists that indicates a great deal of male and female behavior is nurture, not nature.

Every time a broad, sweeping generalization is made my own experience refutes it outright.

It's too bad the schwastika was adopted by the Nazi party. It didn't always 'belong' to them.

But hey, at least the Pope doesn't risk any confusion by flying one around. Not that I'm defending his religion.

With homosexuals, it's about control. Just as it is with attempting to control women. The sexually active woman with no guilt about it is considered as "unnatural" as the homosexual with the same mindset, ( even in the 'godless, psychiatric' discipline btw...). Really, the very idea that ANYONE is enjoying themselves out there can only lead the faithful to assume that these unnatural beasts must be working in collusion with Satan. X-D

To be fair, I mention that some psychiatrists still hold that there's no such thing as a sexually active woman who is 'normal' and that those who engage in homosexual behavior are expressing some sort of deviance from 'the norm'. One of my friends experienced this when seeking counseling. His shrink essentially kept eluding to the idea that maybe all his problems were because he liked to have sex with men and that maybe that inclination was due to some rubbish like poor self-esteem or abuse Bigotry and prejudice aren't just expressed by the True Believer in God(s), but the True Believer in anything minus concrete, irrefutable evidence.

Really? Wow.

by god people - pull the broomsticks out of your backsides.

Homosexuality is forbidden by the bible - old testament and new. If you choose to believe such things.

I for one believe the new testament is made by a bunch of people who were oppressed by the Romans and decided to oppress back and that the old testament has been rewritten and rehashed so many times who knew what the original texts said.

The pope is being true to his religion - the same religion that condones paeodophilia through its priests. And I repeat - he is a creepy old man - his voice is also creepy. I dont care what your parents neighbour is like - he isn't the leader of one of the biggest religions on earth - and have you been down in his basement lately?

Another way of summarizing it could be to say,"The Bible was written by a bunch of ancient Middle Eastern men".

Really? Wow.
