Yes, apart from Blackadder: Back and Forth, QI, and Fortysomething, this is the first time in 15 years they've been on screen together.

^Yeah, my thoughts exactly, whoever wrote that really didn't do their research and I would prefer them to do something more than this, like Stephen doing an episode of House or maybe some comedy sketches something like that. One can dream...

If Stephen ever appeared on House, my excitement would be completely uncontrollable. I go into total fan girl mode just thinking about that!

I'm still hoping they'll resurrect that Holmes & Watson project that was being bandied about a few years ago, considering that the characters appearing to be enjoying a tremendous resurgence in popularity of late. Perhaps a Radio 4 project might be easier to fit into their schedules than a TV production.

Of course, Mr. Fry would have made a tremendous Mycroft a few years ago, but now he's far too slim for that role. And Mr. Laurie would make a formidable Moriarty, if Guy Ritchie is still searching for the right thesp for the role in SHERLOCK HOLMES 2.

This is very exciting. I hope I don't miss it. *fingerscrossed* I hope this is a first step in them planning to do some more work together. Whether it be radio or television. mm maybe radio could have potential.

Assuming direct control...

I'm trying not to get too squeeful about this, it's probably just a bunch of "celebrities" saying that they liked the show, and three or four shots of them two sitting there looking embarrassed. That's how these things usually are...on the other hand, well, SQUEEE!!!, and please please please, would someone put it on youtube when it comes out

stuffing vine leaves with a bunch of perverts
or whatever the twitter-less get up to :)

I've just heard that Stephen is going to be playing Mycroft in the yet to be filmed Sherlock 2... casting so perfect I believe it almost casts a cloud over Downey's casting *giggles*

(I did a quick search to see if this had been discussed yet on this forum but only found this thread... sorry to tangent on you all!)

Everything is readily available.

Has anyone happened upon a date for the reunion programme yet? I can't seem to find anything.

Great news about Sherlock!!

I have heard that it is going to be aired Wednesday November 24th at 9:00 pm on Gold TV. Not sure if that is set in stone, but I think that is the plan.

Wahay! Thanks for the info. No doubt Stephen will tweet and blog about it nearer the time.

So apparently it aired yesterday at 9:00pm in England - does anyone know when/if it will air in Australia? I would be absolutely devastated if I missed it.

Hand in hand we can marvel together at the strangeness of the human condition.
