Not sure what to say not a forum kinda person, my tag The Oracle is a similar name to which my family have given me as they say I know what and where everyone and everthing is or is doing. In simple terms a noisy know it all. I have suffered Manic Depression all my life and boy is it hard the saddest thing is this is as good as it gets and when I think of all the time in my life thats been wasted its so sad. I'm lucky I have a great family I have managed to have a couple of careers but as you can tell by this depressing tone things are not so good at the moment, still there is the high to look forward to followed of course by the wonderful low. I just thought I would just get some input and ideas on how others cope. No I did not see Stephen Fry's programme I was on holiday, I hope to catch sometime, but I think we owe him a big thanks for opening peoples mind to this disorder I should know as over the years there have been barriers that are now very much broken in most quarters. I'm not always this gloomy just a bad time. Thanks for reading this if you havent fallen asleep before the end.

welcome! you can find slotmd on you tube, that's how i watched it and i live in the u.s. i know, i beat myself up over wasted time... but if it made you who you are, oracle, i don't think it's wasted. |

Thanks for the welcome and the info. I think guilt is part of the illness something that time has taught me but I fight against it from time to time so there's life in the old girl yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sounded a bit weird last night when I posted my hello I said I'm not a forum kinda person what I meant was I never know what to say on them I have been looking at this one for a long time before I plucked up courage to add something just to reach out. My youngest daughter is on several forums and she and her boyfriend mediate or moderate on one of their own they make it look so easy and have made many friends around the world. She has alway said that I should try, but things never seem to come out the same as when I interact face to face. Thanks for your time. Laura

Thanks to Banjo who was the only one to welcome me and to Manic who responded to one of my comments, It's now clear that my comments are not making the right noises so I shall shuffle of to a quiet corner and regroup, I'm glad that you make most people feel welcome shame you cant extend the same to all.

No need to apologise about posting in wrong places. The introductions thread is there to help, but people here may do as they please without fear of censure from anally-retentive forum geeks. Sorry I didn't say hello sooner, but this is one of my busy times. It may be the same for others, so don't assume you've been snubbed. This is a nice place.

hey oracle, i think it just takes a little time for people to visit and read the posts. there's even some that i want to speak too, but don't quite have the words at the time. sometimes it takes several days or weeks on boards to get responses to a thread. it's kind of like growing plants, i guess. |

Due to popular demand (and your great comments and support) I'm giving it another go. I was a bit like a baby in a pram, no attention so I spat my dummy out and threw ALL my toys out to see how much attention I got. Thanks!!!!!!
