If you are like me and adore the world of Bertie Wooster
can I recommend the diaries of James Lee-Milne.The first
surveyor of the National Trust his diaries are regarded as on a par
with Samuel Pepys and includes entries along the lines of
'...A moderate tea at the Ritz with Nancy Astor,Vita Sackville-West and Cecil Beaton.The on to my club where I discussed Byron with General Montgomery..'
