Nobody's said ['mɛɹi'lɑnd] since the 17th century; it's ['mæɹɪlənd]. If we have to put up with British jokes about cookies, and having even Annapolis-which was a 5 minute detour from your route-ignored, I think it's the least we could ask.

And no, it is not where the cookies come from.

Crabs and Oysters, yes. Cookies, no.
