Pffffffff, am I tired of people abusing the internet, purely for self-exposion.

The story on which I want to rant on is as follows:

A while back I thought to myself: "Ah F-it, I'm going Facebook for once". So, I created a facebook page for myself (which I refresh nearly every 5 minutes or seconds or so), and suddenly I get this 'friend-request' (which is just a terrible name for this), from someone none other than 'Andy Lloy Webber' who wants to be friends with me.

Of course I thought "huh?". So first before accepting, I checked out this ALW's page before taking action... heck, the internet is weird sometimes, and better ignored rather than loved. Couldn't find much, so I thought... I'll accept this ALW, and see how and why on this. I checked what on earth might have been the things on Facebook that could've linked it to ALW. No results. I searched throughout his page, ofcourse keeping in mind that this could be, in no possible way, be the actual Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The page contained only pictures of ALW I could've googled myself, no real information, and the Wall-posts were rather questionable, seeing as the oldest lot were aimed mostly at young youth who all went to the same school (clicked around, and discovered lots were from the same city or school... as it says on their FB pages. Remember this part).

I thought... this is a bad joke. Still puzzled on how on earth they got to me (not really the first hit when you type my name, and no real reason for English girls to add a Dutch bloke). So I thought... I'll sit this out, and wait for more clues.

More and more people added this person to their friends, and kept making comments on how much they love ALW, and from this ALW how much 'he' loves 'his' fans. Until I thought... no. You're not the real deal, stop acting like it, stop making people think they are in touch with a real celebrity... so I replied to one of his 'wall posts' (Oh yes, how rebellious of me.)

So I asked for some proof. A simple question of posting some pictures on this profile which can't simply be googled. And then I got 'flamed' (as it is called apparently in these hip internet-age) left, right, and centre.

Pfff... can't believe people these days. No one's critical. No one askes questions. And people acting like some one they're obviously not. Even if this WAS the real ALW, whoops. But, where was the proof?

Perhaps the biggest mystery is why this ALW added ME? Still makes no sense. At all.

/end rant.

There are some people who will randomly add you just so they can boost their friends list and look 'popular'. Always seemed like a pointless exercise to me. Maybe the flamer was one of this ALW's school mates? What I find astounding is that aside from the possible school mates that anyone would be so uncritical as to take the account seriously. I find these days there are a lot of people in life who aren't critical, who don't ask questions or consider different perspectives on issues, on life in general. Who take everything the media says as being the gospel truth.

Assuming direct control...
