...if one more person starts a thread here with the following titles:
"My crappy poetry"
"Here's my terrible poetry"
"Almost/so-called/bullshit poetry"
If you really fucking believe this about your writing, why the hell are you asking people to waste their time reading SHIT?!! There are BLOGS and Tweets for that purpose.
I'm sorry, but either have the spine to post your work and risk that people will hate it and throw tomatoes at you, or don't post it. And if you're going to post it, how about,"Here's some of my work" as a title?
Don't get me wrong: I LIKE bad poetry for its own sake. But I'm talking about CONSCIOUS efforts, not accidents. Reference the limericks thread for example. Usually, it's done for comedic purposes. It makes people laugh or grin and encourages participation.
But to sit down and write something you MEAN to be good, and then say,"Here's my crap"..you know? What the fuck?!
[Was the above post a conscious 'design' or not? Am I pulling your leg(s)?]

If this post was recent it may even be that it wasn't widely visible. I had poems appear before my eyes that were posted days earlier.
I have also had to report in tech assistance that my own posts were invisible.
Strange things have been afoot here of late!

Nitro, I didn't apologise or make light of this, and I have to confess to bludgeoning schoolboy critics who couldn't cope with the fact it didn't fit what their teachers told them poetry should be. Does that make me a bad person? Yes? Fine, they write or play or paint the best
