This thread is intended as an index of the various ‘Greetings for Stephen’ projects currently taking place on this forum. If you wish to discuss any particular project listed here, please follow the links to discuss them in the appropriate thread, rather than commenting on this thread.

By signing up to any of these projects, you agree to participate fully within the stated rules. These are always democratically decided amongst forum members over a period of time, giving everyone ample opportunity to engage in the debate. If anyone has serious problems with the rules after decisions are made, they should say so as soon as possible on the relevant thread in order to re-start the debate and change the rules quickly if necessary.

Birthday Book

What it is: A delightful notebook filled with greetings from over 30 Fluffettes from the USA and Europe. Each Fluffette has 2 pages in the book to decorate with birthday wishes for Stephen, and everyone is putting a photo of the book in their hometown onto one of their pages, to show the places it has visited on its travels. More information can be found on the Card Project thread.

How to take part:This project is now well underway, and anyone who didn’t sign up has unfortunately missed their chance. We're sorry if you missed this opportunity, but we had to set a deadline and keep to it in order for the project to finish on schedule.

Deadlines: All deadlines for this project have now passed.

Who to contact for more information: elTweeno, Fryphile, PamJH

Birthday Audio Message

What it is: Because our Birthday Book is unlikely to reach Stephen’s publishers exactly in time for his birthday, we’re also planning to do a collective audio greeting to send him on his actual birthday. This will consist of all participants recording 1 or 2 assigned words from a greeting, and sending them to Hope, who will edit them all together in a birthday greeting from around the world. Help in recording your words is on hand if you’re not sure how.

How to take part:The deadline to sign up to this project has now passed. There can be no exceptions to this, as the words need to be handed out for people to have time to record them and send them on to Hope to be edited together.

Deadlines: Deadline to sign up has now passed. Deadline to send recordings by: Friday 24th July 2009.

Who to contact for more information: Hope

Christmas Project

What it is: This is a slightly different project to the Birthday Book, but the same general idea of sending Stephen a greeting from us all. The idea is that each participant will create a circle (the size of a CD) out of card/paper/material/canvas and decorate it with their personal Christmas greeting. They’ll then post this to their ‘Regional Contact’, who will be 1 person in each area (the areas being North America, Mainland Europe, UK and ‘rest of world’). The area administrators will then post all their area’s circles to me, and I’ll put all the circles together into a big Christmas Tree shape on a huge piece of card and send the finished project to Stephen’s publishers at the start of December.

How to take part:This project is still open to participants, and you can sign up to take part on The Christmas Project thread.

Deadlines: To Sign up to participate: 18 September 2009; To send your circle to your Regional Contact: 6 November 2009; For Regional Contacts to get all the circles to elTweeno: 20 November 2009

Who to contact for more information: elTweeno

Undoubtedly there will be other, future projects on the forum, all of which will be added to this index as they start. This information will be updated whenever plans change.

Bumping so that people can see this and make use of the information, although it looks like the links are going to have to be adjusted.

Thanks for letting me know about the links issue Britannicus. I'll get on it over the weekend & fix all the links when things have settled a bit.

In the meantime, if people want to know more they'll just have to post here - I still can't open PM's, though I know how to find them.

Just wondering if there is any word on an address for uk circles as I've now perfected mine and am about ready to send it?
