Isn't it rather obvious that there is more to this disease than whether you talk about it? Sure some people box it all up and it's one added pressure, but it's only one pressure of many. There are plenty of people who have talked and not recovered and many who kept quiet and sponaneously recovered...

Hello everyone, I thought I'd introduce myself as some of the stuff I've read on here is exactly what I'm going through.
I don't have anyone to talk to about this really and I'm making a mess of everything in my life.

Greentree is correct. I have also sent you a PM about calling yourself Dr as on this forum we are all non-professionals. Welcome to our site.

Hello

I am a fan with a bipolar II dx for about a decade and symptoms for twice as long. I watched The Secret Life.... on youtube. A wonderful docu, felt it shows some of the variety of ways this bittersweet illness can present itself. I was approached today by the manager of a recovery site I attend. They are hosting a film festival in October promoting awareness of various mental illnesses. I would like to submit the docu for screening and a panel discussion. However I have not yet found where I can purchase it. Is it able for purchase in the United States or online? I found a site claiming the dvd was released in February 2010, but have not been able to find a site to purchase it except Amazon.com. The dvd at Amazon appears to be Region 2. I need either Region 1 or 0.
Thank you for any assistance.

I'm new here, I don't have bi-polar, but I have been dx with severe depression, sadly I have tried getting help but my depression is caused by my illness Meniere's Disease. I battle all the time with wanting to end my life because it isn't easy dealing with Meniere's suffering attacks almost daily, and my depression hits when I have attacks that last 10-20 hrs, but where I am, I can't find a good mental health expert because they just look at me and say " I'm sorry I don't know how I can help, I have never dealt with anyone with your condition." I can't go onto any medication to treat depression because I suffer from bad reactions of anti-depressants with my medication I have to take to try and control Meniere's. sometimes I just wish the world would swallow me and I can then stop suffering.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME HERE, YOU DON'T NEED A DX OF BIPOLAR! Sorry left my caps lock on. I have Meniere's disease too though I have never linked it to my bipolar disorder - I only have it mildly and am not medicated for it. I don't have it badly, in fact I can't recall my last bad attack - my mum has it really badly though.

Welcome,

I am really sorry I have not been around for quite a while. I am much happier now because we moved to a very nice and very cute apartment. The people around here are so nice as compared to the haters where I was living. I am far more relaxed here as well.

Hi ,my name is Maniccat and I was diagnosed as rapid cycling bipolar over two years ago, although have been bipolar since early twenties but was undiagnosed. My life is a roller coaster....from exciting to self destruct and I find it hard to cope as there is very little stability in my life.

Hi Maniccat (interesting name), have a nosey about the forum, there's a whole pile of different people on here with a wealth of experience.
I'm a master of sabotage, carefully wrecking things I've worked very hard to build up!
Stick around a while,
