I can't believe no-one has posted about the iPad here today!

Wish I wasn't so tempted, perhaps I should cut up my credit card just in case.

That would be me.

Charlie Brooker's comments make an interesting read:

I got a nice slug of money for some of my programming efforts and bought an iPad. I like it! I've downloaded the SDK from Apple to mess around with. I have some ideas for some apps I'd like to try and build ... should be fun

Has to be said, I'm rather confused about the ipad! I have an iphone and a laptop and just can't see the advantage of owning an ipad! Go on, prove me wrong! Why should I get one?

As far as I'm concerned apple could make an iBagel and once I could afford it I would get it....just wish I could afford half of their things b/c I adore my macbook pro in ways that may not be right.

I used to be EternalStudent on these forums until the switch over. So don't get excited..I'm not someone new and exciting. I'm just me :P

Yeah, IC, but what about the new iHead coming out? Remove your head, and this will be a far better replacement

Sorry..Apple's just made it so easy now to be an iAss

pet, I don't think the iPad's about having a 'reason' just yet But the next gen or two may just give more folks one. Apple's looking down the road. This current gen is 'the hook', so to speak. And there's no telling what else they've got in the vault that will set new standards. And doing that is part of what Apple is 'about'.

Really? Wow.
