I, like many here, adore the podcasts - the joy of being able to hear Mr Fry's dulcet tones in hi-fidelity through my little MP3 player (well, PDA to be more exact) is indescribably pleasing... however the last podcast seemed to be sampled at a meager 64 bits per second instead of the usual 120 bits or greater and unfortunately this impacts on the audio quality - the dulcet tones are no more. Is this the way it is going to be in the future (in an effort perhaps to reduce storage space)? If so, this is a sad day.

I have re-read my post and it comes across as being ever so slightly exaggerated - (the issues re the sound quality that is - not Mr Fry's popularity). But there is quite a difference. Played through the p.c. it is not noticeable - but played through earphones it does make quite a difference.
