I suspect it's probably never to be discussed, or was probably discussed years ago, but what does 42 mean?

Also, anyone know how to get hold of Hugh Lawrie? My girlfriend has a bad ear, and the doctors can't do a thing about it!

i don't think 42 means anything in the movie but Mr fry has said in a intervieuw ones that it was al explained to him but he can't talk about it

and hugh laurie (aka house) i have no idea how to reach him, sorry
