This song I guess sums up how I feel trying to get to my son. I try to put myself in his head alot.

Knock me over with a f#4@ing feather..............Grades were sent home today and my son has an A in Lang Arts, B in Math, A in Social Studies, B in Science and an A in Art.
I saw a few graded assignments he brought home that he only got between 13%-19% on them. Percents like that really give an overall grade a big hit, so I am not sure how he pulled this off. Happy though.

WOOOOOOOT!!!!! tell your son i am SUPER proud of him!!
it *may* be that a couple of teachers get what's going on and give him ways to make up for the mistakes. and some assignments aren't worth a large amnt of a grade... it all depends.

p.s. re: pee hand.... i don't usually say things that go "this gender's like this and the other is like this"... but boys often remain elementary-schooly longer than girls do... resulting in very awkward 7th grade / 8th grade classrooms. (believe me, my parents were jr high teachers! lol.)
so what you were like as a middle schooler will be very different from what he's like as a middle schooler.
in my town, in HIGH SCHOOL, some classmates took a fetal pig off the dissecting tray and whirled it around the room on the end of a rope, singing "rawhide". then they cut out the eyes and threw them so that they stuck to the ceiling for the rest of the school year.
what was my purpose in telling that....i dunno

Oh, my goodness!!! We had to disect fetal pigs in 7th grade. I have a scar on my right middle finger from accidently cutting myself. We played with our pigs too. I do not know what the point was either, but we all disliked the science teacher.
In high school we had to do frogs. I did not like that science teacher either. I refused to disect and he asked why. I told him millions of frogs have been disected up to this point, and there is nothing more I will learn by doing it that I cannot learn in a book.
He got very smug with me and agreed. I think he thought he was going to teach me a lesson or something. Well, I taught him because I got an A-.
My son had a pretty good day yesterday. He is home today because I think the strawberry cheesecake pancakes he at made him sick. He woke up at 11:30p and pretty well got rid of the pancakes.
I got a recorded call from the school today letting everyone know that some of the report cards are not correct. They are going to be sending out new ones this week. If my son's grades are not correct, I am not sure if I should tell him.

Thank you KS!
My son asked about getting Tokens for his grades I told him I needed to think about it. I hope either his is not one of the incorrect ones or the difference is not too bad.

We got the new grades and they are pretty close to the others.
My son was punched on the bus today, by a girl. Some of the kids were throwing clay at him and when he threw a piece back the girl got up and dared him to do it again. So, he threw a piece at her and she punched him in the back of the head and his nose. My son said she called him a bitch while daring him.
I called in a complaint to the bus folks. My son said he wanted to punch her back soooooooo bad!!! I do not blame him!!!! I would have, fuck the consequences. Very proud my son was able to control himself.

I've not hit anyone since school. I was always told not to hit people. And then one day my parents told me to stand up for myself, so I hit back and broke some ribs of the other person. I didn't get into much trouble for it - the consensus was that they were asking for it. Nowadays I just hit myself. Oh well.

Yeah, it's the 'stand up for yourself' but without the hitting.... My mum was always on at me to stand up for myself. Not easy. I guess for kids who are not necessarily that verbally eloquent/coherent/confident, hitting is an easy way to go....
It's the how to stick up for yourself without resorting to violent methods that's the tricky one.

yes, overall grades are still good, but his progress report shows he has all Fs and one D. That is what started his outburst on Wed. I told him I could not take him to basketball until he finished his science key terms. He had three of those he did not turn in before the progress report, this giving him the F currently.
He hit me with a log of firewood about my arms and I had to call the police. He has an appt with his psychiatrist today and I am going to ask about abilify.
