The one to follow Dambusters for the team of Fry/Jackson should be one I have been sitting on for thirty odd years. The story of the team from ‘Krait’ who lit up Singapore harbour in October, 1943 [well told in the book: ‘The Heroes’] and their second raid back into Singapore. Long thought of as a failure thanks to the brass's interference but, in fact, another success
The raid was led by a Bowes-Lyon [the queen’s cousin] with another Brit officer [who won his commission in a card game] and a ’dirty dozen’ of Aussie misfits.
An incredible number of plot points, a poignant love story and a real ending that Robert Towne couldn’t beat!!
Like Dambusters this true story of a crew of incredibly brave men needs to be told … and with its fair share of CGI effects.
