Dear Andrew,
Could you please consider making the podcasts into a smaller file size?
At an average of about 35Mb, they are quite large for a speech podcast.
My wife likes to listen to them on the car CD player, and at the current size I can only convert 2 podcasts onto a single disc.
Regards,
Matt

The Compression ratio influences filesize but doesn't change the length (in minutes) of an mp3 file. A longer mp3 can be a smaller file and vice versa.
Maybe you have a line in connector on your car stereo somewhere? connecting an mp3 player would be a more practical solution!

As ovilbianca said, storage on a music/audio CD in the CDDA (Compact Disc Digital Audio) format is metered in minutes. Only data is metered in megabytes so...

an audio CD should hold 3 podgrams @25 minutes each
a MP3 (data) CD should hold roughly 19 podgrams at 35 megabytes each (allowing for disc formatting)
