I'll post this video in the Youtube thread as well as this one. You can hear my accent here; It's an unusual accent for where I live, which is Plymouth in Devon. People often tell me I sound strange and they assume I grew up elsewhere. The truth is I've never been able to escape the chokehold of this depraved city. I'm so tempted to participate in this, even though I'm a newbie...but my accent will probably get me banished. I'm jealous of everyone else's accents, too. Not all who wander are lost. In fact those who do wander are a lot cooler than those who don't. |

Agree with you Texas Skald - have always hated my voice - so will be delaying posting for a little while longer - would have to record it when nobody else was in. A tutor at college told me it was important to write the way you speak or it sounds false. So Ah torned me next assignment in written in a geet broad Northumbrian accent. He says "What the f**k's this!" Ah says, "YE said Ah should write the way Ah taalk!" Med sense te me. |
