I note from watching QI you know something about quantum physics. Maybe you read the campus cult classic The Tao of Physics during your university days - if so possibly you were (like me)intrigued although not convinced by any argument contained therein that conciousness is more than implicated in quantum events? Perhaps you would like to read 'Dancing in Emptiness' by Graham Smetham (available here http://www.quantumbuddhism.com)- it is far from being an easy read but I believe the arguments are precise, confirmed by many emminent physicists and irrefutable. Conciousness is primary in the universe.
