Am reading through archived entries of my best friend's blog. Am very strongly reminded of Adrian Healey. The thought occurs that it's too bad Fry's youth predated blogs.

Heh. This morning I got up, looked out the window of my 34th story Chicago flat and wondered where the world had gone. All was white.

My random thought for tonight: If the Christmas Carols Concert is too long, why throw out the two shortest choir bits? And why is there no chocolate anywhere in my kitchen?

Sigh...I'm so depressed. All we had today was a clear, blue sky, temperatures in the 60's, and unrelenting sunshine. I'ts enough to drive a girl to drink!

Happy Christmas!

Music worth listening to while getting dressed for Christmas Carol Concert: The Prelude to Lars-Erik Larsson's Förklädd Gud (God in Disguise). Oh so beautiful.

That gang of heavily pubescent boys sitting next to me in the tram on my way home from the concert? Shouting about obscene jokes and showing off with equally offensive gestures? If only they knew how very childlike they appear not despite, but because of this behaviour.

Things to wonder about in the middle of the night: Could a deaf person (i. e. born deaf - I am not thinking of Beethoven!) study certain musical rules and compose complex pieces of music that actually sound good?

I guess it depends. Since light travels at different speeds in different media, if you are moving in a very "slow" medium alongside a layer of a very "fast" medium, the world probably wouldn't loose all colours. But the central problem is a different one: Your body (including its photoreceptors - eyes, optical nerves and all the other stuff) wouldn't tolerate travelling at the speed of light too well, I guess.

In order for you to see your eyes must receive light. Were you to travel at the same speed as light your eyes wouldn´t receive any light which is why you wouldn´t see anything.
Just my humble opinion
