Random thought: I have more formal education than Stephen Fry yet I am no where near as smart. Life...it plays out in interesting ways.

I used to be EternalStudent on these forums until the switch over. So don't get excited..I'm not someone new and exciting. I'm just me :P

Random thought - I will be starting college in september, when I dont think my mental age has advanced since I was about 4. I'm looking forward to it, though not to results day. I worked hard but I'm a pessamist, or as I prefer a realist

I was wondering whether our Russian Fluffettes are okay...
I think of you every time I watch the news and the wildfires in Russia come on.
Hang in there, Fluffies !

I've been thinking of that too Gertrude. The smog and smoke looks horrible around Moscow.

I lived in Colorado Springs CO most of my life. Nikola Tesla had a house in Cripple Creek CO that I got to go see once.

I'm sitting in a hotel room with three other Gamma Chi's (sorority recruitment counselors), and two of them are planning their weddings. Granted, they're seniors, so they're 21 and it's not a big deal, but I still feel waaay behind!

Quotes: "There are SO many variations of purple!" "That's a really reasonable price for a photographer!" "Ann Taylor is a really good place to get bridesmaid dresses." "Ugh, I HATE chair covers!"

In other news, my group of freshmen is doing great visiting all the houses and making great impressions, as far as I can tell!

Open to suggestions as to what my sig should consist of...

Wondering if anyone has seen this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6a4T2tJaSU

Does anyone have any idea about it? I wonder when the walkie talkie was invented? I will have to look that up. I would imagine even so, they would have been quite big back then. Hmmmmmm.

Well, never mind that. Walkie talkies were huge and not until 1940. One person had to wear a backpack and the cord connected to the reciever who had to walk behind the person with the backpack. Oh well. Learned something about the walkie talkie today anyway.

If vacuum energy acts as negative pressure, how does it cause the universe to expand? Probably one of these questions that are spectacularly stupid and embarrassing once you find the bit of information you've been missing, but I can't wrap my head around it ...
