The recent discussion re Del's company car on QI caused me to recall the day a colleague arrived at work late (at a hospital) and immediately reported to casualty with a severe laceration of his nose. On enquiry he described an accident on the way to work which had destroyed his Robin. What had caused the laceration I enquired - 'Well', said he, 'on impact, the car disintegrated totally and the wing-mirror hit me in the face....
