Greetings from Canada. This was my first read of Mr. Fry's awesome fiction, having been introduced to him through Jeeves & Wooster and a Bit of Fry and Laurie on DVD. Are the Brits REALLY so hung up on accent and class? In Canada, if we detect an accent from a fellow Canadian, a la Newfoundlander, Cape Breton and the like, we lean towards curiosity of how things are in their neck of our vast and magnificent country. Just how many accents are there in London and how do you discern between them - and why does it matter? If we hear a British accent in Canada, we just gush - because we think you're cool is all. Thanks, eh?
