hey, this part of the forum has been quite quiet, what is a bit of a shame because it was a good idea to so something to so to speak "save the world"
so any suggestions to bring this back to life ?

yes i agree, sorry i had been not really noticing new posts here... there were a lot of things already planned before and i don't know what's going on with them. i know they picked out a charity etc... i'm kinda curious though about getting a list of several charities together so visitors who drop by during LCTS can see them and click on the links. Would be a great way to send those sites some traffic. maybe not in here, because this was set up for a different plan and i don't think new visitors would find it...but wherever a LCTS thing is obvious, does that make sense? am not good with typing words today, am trying to cut back on caffiene, lol NOT WORKING "HELLO I'M TACTILE !" is an anagram of my name |

have been gone for a wile, internet problems grr maybe doing something with little to no cost will be a good idea, think that stuff where money is involved will be complicated to organise and not everyone has it. in the LCTS series is it made clear that awareness and creating political will is just (or even more) important to keep those lovely animals alive and well. any ideas are of course welcome I am what I am |

there lots of things we could do, i don't know, a pledge for something, a pledge to recycle, have people put photos of themselves standing next to bags of plastic bottles they have saved or cans etc i dont know heh... Abi.Lou |

I'm surprised there isn't a separate board for LCTS but then there's the Afrycam board. I'm sad to see this board has been so quiet. Maybe having a focus is important. Like choosing a specific endangered animal to raise money for. Do you think the show has helped raise awareness? What was the show's ratings like?

Check out 'Codex Alimentarius' on the web or 'banning of nutritional supplements by EU' or the like and be worried and sign a petition or write to an MP. Please! This will affect everyone (unless you are a hermit living in a cave in scotland eating only seaweed, though they'd probably find a way to control that too...) |

Agreed. That is a big factor and a dtricky one to tackle without going to the extremes of China's one child per couple rule. I remember when on QI there was a question on how best for a family to reduce their carbon footprint and the answer was get rid of the dog. I was thinking don't have any more children would be even better. Unfortunate but true. There is a growing section of childfree people who are choosing not to have children for environmental reasons.
