Hello. I was pleased and excited to see Stephen will be visiting Australia in July. Great, but only Sydney though. I live in Melbourne and would love to go and see Stephen in person!

Is there any chance of some more dates?

I agree. I live on the Gold Coast - nearest capital Brisbane. It would be to spend an evening with the man himself.

I'm lucky enough to live in Sydney but the first event is sold out already - and that's on pre-sale. It was scheduled to be released to the general public tomorrow (2/6/10). If you can't schedule more dates this time maybe you could come back for the Ashes and do some more then??? Thanks in anticipation.

Dear Stephen,

a plea from Melbourne: a trip to Australia surely cannot be considered complete without the experience of a Dim Sum from South Melbourne Market, a Cocktail (or three) in New Gold Mountain and A Duck, with Pinot, night at Old Kingdom with a host of carving tricks, throwing of pancakes, cucumber & spring onion, and Duck!!

I've also never experienced such a sports mad/devoted city that somehow manages to put on 3-4 huge sporting events on the same day, and still foodies and non-sports fans can get around using public transport without any major effect or ill-feeling.

Also, there is nothing quite like the experience of sitting at an AFL game where not only do the fans share the seating but they do so with a beer in hand. Quite a sight for someone used to UK Football grounds.

We hope you find it in your (and everyone's) best interests to make some time and come visit your Fans in Melbourne.

p.s. love the show (which one) ALL OF THEM!!

"Well, thanks to all those Melburnians ( http://bit.ly/9pFqM0 ) who were kind enough to want me there. I will be coming! Details soon."

Wow! He's coming to Melbourne! Thank you Stephen we really appreciate it. Now i shall be anxiously awaiting the announcement.

Much respect,
Regan

Eee, so very exciting.

This is just a quick question for anyone who's ever been to a Fry event before: Does Mr. Fry ever sign autographs? My assumption would be no, but I still hope.

I only found out yesterday that Stephen Fry is coming to Sydney. Of course it is sold out for the paltry 2 nights at the Opera House. Surely he must know that 2 nights is not enough in a place like Sydney. We desperately need you here for longer, if only to get a decent dose of (real)humour which is sadly lacking in these parts of the world. Please, please stay and do more nights in Sydney, if it means cancelling nights elsewhere in Australia, then fair enough, I'm sure they won't mind!

Are there any more dates planned for Sydney? I only just found out about this from seeing an artwork on Redbubble, lol! http://www.redbubble.com/people/andrea311/art/5436891-2-jeeves-and-wooster
My boyfriend and I would really love to go, but I see that there are no more tickets available (cries)
Things like this are never advertised, which is a shame because I'm sure there would be a lot more people wanting to go if they saw a commercial about it.

I just got tickets to see him in Melbourne! I don't actually think there are words to describe the excitement I am currently feeling. I am on a trip to the other side of the world and I genuinely think that my highlight will be seeing Stephen Fry. Forget the Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island, Uluru or Sydney Opera House. It's all about Stephen Fry.

I also hear that a restaurant in Crown Casino, Cervo, does the best coffee in Melbourne. It also happens to be where I work. Wonder if he might be on a mission to try this amazing coffee...

Is there the faintest chance that someone out there has a ticket for the Melbourne 8pm Satuday show they'd be willing to sell?

Have gone through all the usual formal and informal channels, but nothing's out there.

If anyone can help, my eternal gratitude will be yours.

Thanks.

I was in the audience at the Opera House tonight.. I don;t know whether you keep up to date with these forums, Stephen, but I thought it would be a good way to say thank you. This eveing was just lovely. You were a generous and gracious performer. If it were possible to be more endearing, then you have managed it this evening

Thanks for allowing us to share in your verbose pomposity.. or is that pompous verbosity..

Much respect and hugs
Megan

Could not agree more, Megan.

'Twas a wonderful evening and very thrilling for someone who spent most of their adolescence as a walking caricature of Stephen Fry.

I've witnessed the concert hall play host to two of the world's finest talkers in recent years - Mr. Fry and (back last year) his friend Christopher Hitchens. Both spoke with ease and wit with almost no recourse to notes.

I'm sure many in the audience saw parallels between SF's discovery of Wilde and Waugh and their own initial encounters with the man on the stage, whether it be through writing or performance.

I'd be interested to hear from someone who attended the second night, to see how far afield the topics of conversation were from the first night.

King of Australian Country Music, by decree of S Fry.
