Re gadget girl's friend in hospital with an intestinal lump, I remember a customer when I worked in Social Security. Her husband came to the counter in a right state of shock. His wife had been rushed to hospital with an intestinal pain and a small lump that had juat appeared. The 'lump' turned out to be a baby, although she had shown no symptoms, was 45 years old, and they'd given up hope of a baby for years.
We gave him his maternity grant immediately, because they had nothing ready, obviously.
We all thought it was a lovely story, but it would not be right for everyone - I hope your friend gets better, and doesn't have to bring the 'lump' home!!!!

What a lovely story! However, it appears to have been a very nasty appendix problem in this case. I would be somewhat surprised at the other as she doesn't swing that way!
How are you doing Joan?

Ahhh to going back to school. Back to having to work in groups with people who don't give a toss about the work or me and so I do all the work and get none of the credit.Back to learning french verbs.Back to working your socks off and someone beating you who has messed about all lesson and who did what took you half an hour of hard slog in ten minuits.Back to being a nerd.Back to bored lunch breaks when your freind is doing a club.Back to being the disabled girl (I dont really count my self as disabled.Hearing aids, nystagmus, and hypermobility don't really make me disabled.More special needs.) who is best freinds with the ""emo"".
Don't ya just love secondary school!
Still people are in worse situations I suppose.I am very lucky really so I should'nt really grumble.I do though.
And grrr to being ichy .I hate having sensitive skin.

Doing great thanks - our son just called in after work (high school teacher in the same suburb where we live) and gave his Dad the computer game 'Spore' Neither of us really go for computer games, but Spore is hilarious!
And, I ordered and paid a deposit for a hen house and run, but they can't get the one I ordered, so they are giving me the model up for no extra charge - and - erecting it for me.
This is it:

Guys, don't take this to heart or be embarrassed for me. I just need to rant, then I'll be fine.
He hides his butter and sugar and won't let anyone else use it. He hides his special frying pan and plate. He hides a knife, a fork and a spoon for himself so there's always one ready for him. He spills food down his beard when he eats. He went through the paper bin and took out my bag from BK, found a PLASTIC straw in it and threw it all on the driveway. He's married to his crate of beer. And he wonders that maybe we are having a bad year? YA THINK?!
I'm not sure if it's taboo to write personal stuff, so I apologise, but I 've got to get this of my chest....
Aaaaaarrrrrggggh!!!

Michael that is so funny, thank you - it made me giggle.
...I think he would if he could, it would go with all that food...
Imagine ZZ-top-old-rocker, with a pan handle sticking out of the beard - it's brilliant. Only here it might have to be a smaller pan - a milk pan maybe... I am rambling now, so I'll quit.
how are you doing...why foggy?

I am aiming my intense distaste right now at one lease breaching, bail in the middle of the night wanna-be con man with nothing to show for it, drags his animals around like pairs of shoes, pretends to be a science geek when he's just a memorizor of physorg facts, and quite frankly hope he falls into a tub of hot tar very soon.
Minus his animals

GRRRRRRRRRARGH, to people who just don't TALK to each other and instead just... grah! Protests in Stuttgart against some reconstruction, which included cutting down trees. People protested and blocked the construction site. Police, riot, 100 injured. Small children among them. Pepperspray against school children, what the ... were they thinking?! Was anyone thinking at all?

I know it's all over the board (of course it is) but...
Mrnnaaaaaarrrrrghh! NYYAAAAAGH! WHY WHY WHY ALL THIS SH*T?! I come back home from a long and exhausting trip, and everyone's up in arms about what looked at closely and honestly sums up to... NOTHING. GRAH! Misquote or not, why do they get all worked up about this? I know at least two people who make a living by making very similar statements, and only one of them is a comedian. Where's the media backlash on them? Oh, it's no fun if no-one gets hurt, right?! *flails his arms about like a Giant Squid of Anger* AAAAHRHRHRHGH! I love people, I do, but sometimes, just sometimes... *keeps flailing arms around* GRAAAAAAAAHHH!
