Here is a question. There was a sci fi B movie made which, as I remember it, was about a man who became a huge giant.

What sticks in my mind was that the heroes had to inject him with something and the syringe was to scale with him. It was bigger than a man.

Any ideas on the title of this film?

"Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" is a classic bad horror flick. I recall, fuzzily, one scene where a detective hot on the trial of a killter tomato bends down to the ground on one knee, dips his index finger in a red trail on the ground and says,"Yep, it's ketchup." LOL!! Gawd, no one can write that good anymore har har..

Ed Wood's "Plan 9 From Outer Space" is often listed as THE worst film of all time. I saw it in an old theatre once and it was so bad it was gut bustingly funny. I mean I laughed hysterically nearly all the way through and any recollection of just about any scene in it gets me giggling. I think the bald dude in the movie is Tor Jurgenson? Something like that? Famous in an underground way I believe...Wood clearly did not believe very much in anything but a one-take method of directing LOL Nor in expensive set design...the foam rubber graveyard and what look like headstones cut out of cardboard boxes; a scene of the 'top' detective talking to some 'beat' patrol officers, and scratching his forehead with the barrel of his revolver is so thoughtless it defies description. I've often wondered if Wood just had a sick sense of humor and "being a director" was really just a kind of personal amusement for himself, as if even he knew how absurd his role as one might be.

Really? Wow.

I have missed both of these gems. I feel there is a large part of my idukashun missing as regards classics films.

My son is up on this kind of thing. I'll ask him if these ever get shown on the satllite channels.

What a wonderful trailer, but I don't know if I could sit through the whole movie...sober.

Oh, dear midnight approaches, I must sign off soon and gather some cursed souls...

I think the superimposed giant lobster is a bit of a let down, I hoped they'd stretch to someone in a suit, so I think it would stretch to being beyond redemption.

If you follow that link, in the Related Videos there's - 5 Rubbish Movie Monsters...now those are beyond redemption. I could only take them in small does.

I've been scanning my brains for that giant ant movie but I can't remember any with a giant syringe...um...let me cogitate further.

The ant movie was 'Them' I think.

Husband can remember the giant man film but not what it was called.

Which is surprising as while watching it I had assumed it would be indelibly lodged in our brains..................

I recall there was a film called Matinee which was made as a tribute to all those monster movies. Within it is a spoof film called Mant! about a man who gradually turns into a giant ant...could that be it? It starred John Goodman.

I don't know this one. 'Them' was a B movie from, I assume the 50's.

Some of the scenes were filmed in the same place they did the car race scenes for Grease.

I even have a mad recollection of Joan Collins being in it.

Although she didn't play an ant.

Do you also recall 'The man with x ray eyes'. Did it have Ray Milland in it?

And 'The incredible shrinking man'.

I saw these as a kid and they really disturbed me.................
