I've just read Rex Reed's caustic review of Judd Apatow's Funny People. I think he's got my vote. The very idea of Adam Sandler being funny just creeps me out...he would have been better in Killer Clowns.

Sorry, just getting used to this internet thingy...all this soul searching has kept me busy over the last couple of millennia and I haven't quite got a clue how to post threads.

Rex is just a campy old man so some of his reviews are a little off but he was very sweet and such a hoot to be around. And yes he is still alive and kicking even in his advanced age.

I used to be EternalStudent on these forums until the switch over. So don't get excited..I'm not someone new and exciting. I'm just me :P

This orchestra became a big hit in Britain some years ago. None of them could play a musical instrument but it didn't stop them from forming an orchestra.

Classic and they had some hit records.

And here we have Florence Foster Jenkins.

A US 'singer' who didn't let the fact that she couldn't 'sing' put her off either.

These people give so much!

What a truly wonderful selection Tito

For modern vocal equivalent I suggest you take a listen to Yoko Ono's Kiss Kiss Kiss...though it is a weirdly suggestive.

I'm stunned. And not in a 'Here's a surprise bunch of flowers Tito!' way.

Halfway through I realised I had my palms on my face, was open mouthed and painfully frowning.

This expression only altered at the end when the wincing came in.

Bravo Beast. Dreadful.

What a true disco gem of the 70s. Shirley was great, but I don't think much of her company

I am amazed she didn't lose it and punch the twat in the gob.

You couldn't have blamed her.

I don't care how long ago it was, let's hunt him down anyway and do our bit for Darwin.

Pls find herewith, Mrs Bess Truman, wife of Harry S, and mother of Margaret Truman (I was hunting some sort of recording of her singing, but couldn't find one).

The only way is forward. Now where's the bar?

I enjoy the ladylike and genteel manner with which she wields the bottle.

Exquisite.
