I may be "late to lunch" but I wonder if Stephen knows the works of Cory Doctorow, one of the editors of http://www.BoingBoing.net, and a very good writer of modern SciFi, if not the numero uno of Cyber-punk 2.0. I was only recently introduced to Mr Doctorow's work through the PodCasts of another of my favourites (and neighbour) Spider Robinson...

If Douglas Adams were still with us, I think Cory would certainly be on Mr Adam's "A-list." His fiction works are available on-line, free of charge (through Creative Commons licensing) via his website http://www.craphound.com and he also has some excellent essays on the current state and future of Intellectual Property and copyright plus other topics relevant to the digital landscape at http://www.locusmag.com

Highly readable, very thought-provoking stuff, and the BEST descriptions of how real and plausible digital technology works today and likely in the near future that I have ever read. Without making you go, "What?"

Highly recommended!

Oh, and please note that I have no affiliation with Mr Doctorow, have never met him; I simply believe that when I find some very interesting, well-written and uplifiting stuff, it is my duty to pass it on to people who may find it illuminating.

Having watched, listened and read Mr Fry's output for several years, I hope that he and all reading this will also find my recommendation worthwhile.

Cheers,

Bruce
