I really appreciate Mr. Stephen Fry's video on GNU/Linux anniversary "Freedom Fry"
http://www.gnu.org/fry/ I laud his support of this philosophy and movement. Thank you Stephen! I discovered this wonderful video only a couple of months ago, but I still play it from time-to-time. Freedom!

In 2000, I speed-read 'The Cathedral and the Bazaar' to absorb this meme. I communicate technology as part of my profession, and I'm going to have to raise my game. Just how widely spread are Stephen's cultural footprints to be found? I'd seen the term 'polymath' applied to him, and assumed it was hyperbole.
As introductions to the Open Source movement go, this video is both technically correct, succinct, emotionally & intellectually fluent, and gets the point across beautifully.

As a ubuntu-user I can only agree, open source makes the world a better place and it's good to know that people like stephen, who are an example to others, support it...
...and tux is soo much cuter than a flying window or a halfeaten apple...
