I got today a text message that was sent a couple months ago to me and I did also got it then so it's not just really delayed.it presented as if it was a new message. does anyone knows how this can happen ?

I can think of a few of possible reasons:

* the original sender was going through their sent messages and managed to hit resend by accident

* for some reason the telco software registered that it hadn't been received so resent to make sure

* it was stuck in a buffer somewhere due to some unknown software bug.

I think I've had something similar happen to me where I got a message a couple of days in a row

That would be me.
