Hello my lovelies. This is for my fellow sleepless nighters. I know when I lie there awake I feel so hopeless, alone and like the rest of the world is asleep, so I'm starting this thread so those of us who want to can leave little messages of support - or express their pain during those long nights.

It's not during the night - but what a great idea - I am fequently an all nighter - and they are very lonely and long. The new meds seem to be helping at the moment but I got used to Lithiums sedative effect so who knows how long they will last.

Well I spoke too soon - Will be up all night.
Had too good of a day and although not hypermanic I am a little manic - good side so far.
Been getting finances sorted and doing some admin work for the business - ready for Relaunch June 2010. Business is Techkit - Web and IT Services. I am a web designer and computer programmer by trade - qualified programmer at 10 years old.
Oh well - roll another tab - have a tic tac. That will use up 10 mins.
Back really hurting - been on computer too long and probably done too much but thats life.

OK getting worse - now been sick - a lot. Had not been drinking or anything - did not eat much today and forgot my Lanzoprosole this morning - so guess it is my fault.
At least if this is the start of a sickness bout it will sort out the weight increase - serves me right for whining

I was just thinking the same thing.. but I had your posts to read when i woke at 4.45am after not dropping off until the wee hours. Having them there was comforting.
Sorry to hear about the 4 lbs but you are not a chicken. We go to a supermarket and pick a chicken up and it i's priced according to it's weight. I's value is represented by it's weight...
...your value honey, is NOTHING to do with your weight. We all love you just the way you are.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I need sleeep.
The amount of lithium varies a great deal depending on how well you absorb it and excrete it. Labs vary but generally the safe and effective level in your blood is 0.4-1.0 mmol/l (Some places use 1.2).
If you are thinking of ODing anyone reading this, it is not a nice way to go, slow, with seizures and no guarantee of success and risk of brain damage. And no I'm not telling you how many pills should do it.
My body stopped metabolising lithium and my level went up to about 4 mmol/l and people thought i was on drugs or drunk, or something, I slurred my words and acted very strangely. I had to be rushed into hospital and cannot use lithium again.
truly,
